TeamGroup’s Crazy New SSD Coolers: Genius or Just Plain Extra?

So, TeamGroup showed up at Computex 2025 with some wild new ways to keep your SSDs frosty, because apparently, storage drives need liquid cooling now? Yep, they unveiled three new cooling gadgets: the T-Force Al-Flow X, the GD120T SSD AiO Cooler, and the DUO360V2 CPU+SSD AiO Cooler. Some of these look like overkill, but hey, when has that ever stopped PC builders?

The whole Computex 2025 is based around the AI theme, and TeamGroup might have taken that seriously. There is hardly any intelligence that can go behind an SSD cooler. The flow of water or fan speed can be adjusted based on the temperature, but that isn’t called AI. But why not go with the trend? One of the key points in their AI-Flow X’s presentation was that “AI automatically detects and adjusts the cooling performance”. Well, I have nothing more to say about it. I can just laugh.

But Wait… SSDs Need Cooling?

Back in the day, SSDs were chill components in your PC. They had no moving parts and had a comparatively slower speed than they do now. So, barely any heat was generated. But now? PCIe 5.0 drives can get toasty under heavy loads, slowing down performance. That’s why TeamGroup’s been tinkering with SSD coolers for a while, like their T-Force Dark AirFlow I. And now, they’re taking things to the next level- or maybe just showing off. So, here are the three coolers that were highlighted at Computex.

1. The Al-Flow X: High-Tech or High-Risk?

This one’s the rockstar of the bunch. It uses thermoelectric cooling (TEC), aka Peltier tech, which sounds fancy until you remember it’s the same stuff that can condense water inside your PC if not handled right. TeamGroup claims they’ve figured it out, with Al-controlled cooling to keep temps below ambient.

Cool? Absolutely. Sketchy? Maybe.

If they’ve really solved the condensation and power issues, this could be a game-changer for performance junkies. But if not? Well, let’s just say fried SSDs aren’t on anyone’s wishlist.

2. The GD120T: Liquid Cooling… for THREE SSDS?

Okay, this one’s bonkers. A 120mm AiO cooler-just for SSDs. Not one, not two, but three M.2 drives. Now, unless you’re running a data center in your gaming rig, this feels like using a flamethrower to light a candle.

This is peak PC enthusiast madness- awesome if you’re into extreme builds, but most people will just laugh and move on.

3. The DUO360V2: The One That Actually Makes Sense

Now this is the real deal. It’s an upgraded version of TeamGroup’s Siren Duo 360, combining CPU and SSD cooling in one 360mm AiO loop. It’s clean, efficient, and -unlike the GD120T- actually practical for high-end builds.

Why it rules:

✓ Handles both CPU and storage heat in one system

✓ Based on a proven design (Tom’s Hardware liked the original)

Who’s This For?

• Hardcore builders who want every last drop of performance (AI-Flow X)

• Modders who love wild, unnecessary cooling (GD120T)

• people who just want great temps without the hassle (DUO360V2)

Early Verdict: Cool… But Do We Need It?

Right now, these are just prototypes, so we’ll have to wait for real-world tests. The AI-Flow X is the most exciting (and risky), the GD120T is pure overkill, and the DUO360V2 is the sane choice for most people.
