The market is filled with various types of flash drives offering different features and specifications. 10 Gbps is the new standard in the flash drive market. I have used, reviewed, and marketed numerous flash drives in the past. This time, I got a review unit from a brand called OSCOO. The name of their new flash drive is T10. Design-wise, I liked its compactness and durable body. It comes in only one colour, i.e., Golden, and has a Zinc Alloy body.
This flash drive features a 2-in-1 connector interface, supporting both USB-A and Type-C (OTG) standards. However, the software interface is USB 3.2 Gen 2, with a maximum bandwidth of 10 Gbps. The brand claims to have a maximum read speed of up to 1100 MB/s and a write speed of up to 1000 MB/s. We will present benchmark scores later in our review to show you what you can expect from it.
It comes in three storage capacities, i.e., 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. I have received the 1TB variant for this review. The drive’s dimensions are 73.2 x 22.12 x 68 mm, and it weighs approximately 46g. It comes with a 3D TLC flash, which is beneficial considering the market is largely dominated by QLC flash drives. It is a Plug-and-Play drive, just like other popular drives, that doesn’t require any drivers.

The packaging is pretty good. Inside the box, we get a user manual, the drive itself with a hanging string, and the casing.

The slider mechanism of this flash drive enables us to use it on both USB Type-A and Type-C ports. This is beneficial when we have to connect our drive to our smartphones or tablets. Moving data between mobile devices and computers can be straightforward with this flash drive.
Pros and Cons
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Compact and Robust design | 3-Years Warranty |
Capacity up to 2TB | No bundled software for backup, recovery, or data management |
3D TLC NAND Flash | No password protection and encryption features available |
Dual-Interface (Type-C/USB-A) |
Everything else about this drive is fine. The 3-year warranty is also acceptable. It has a good performance, TLC NAND flash, and a great design. The first thing I didn’t like was that there was no bundled software with which we could manage our data or use features like backups. We’ll have to rely on our operating systems or smartphones. Additionally, it would have been beneficial if the drive came with password protection and encryption. The company can work on increasing the largest storage variant to at least 4TB, as there is a significant demand for high-capacity flash drives.
Theoretical Specifications
The availability of this drive depends on your geographical location, as the brand has made it available only in the B2B market. You won’t be able to buy it online from the official website yet. The drive is surely a little heavy due to its metallic body. The working temperature is up to 70 degrees Celsius, which is fine for a flash drive. The drive doesn’t reach that temperature, as I found in my tests. Below are all the critical specifications for your reference.

Design and Build
The zinc alloy gives this drive a strong build, providing a feel that makes you feel like you’re holding something. This also protects the drive from accidental drops and rough handling, such as during travel or outdoor shoots. I would look for scratches on the body after some usage. The design appears well-thought-out, with a smooth sliding experience on both sides.

Being a portable storage medium, the flash drives are required to be compact. Now, because this drive is also focused on smartphones and other mobile computing devices, I found it good in terms of build, but it is a little heavier if you prefer to keep light flash drives in your pocket. In the market, you can easily find metallic flash drives weighing 40 g. However, I don’t find it as big a problem.
Another thing I’d like to discuss is the functionality. Again, there are many other two-in-one flash drives on the market, but most of them have only two connectors on each end. This one features a sliding mechanism, which is a great addition. The thing I liked about it, particularly, is that the mechanical movements are quite smooth, and the switch locks firmly in place.
Benchmarks
I am quite impressed with the performance, as when I ran it through a 1 GiB Q8T1 test, the sequential performance came out to be close to the advertised speed. There were no serious heating issues even during heavy read/write operations.

I ran it through some other tests, such as the Blackmagic and Anvil Pro, and the results were almost identical. With a flash drive, we mainly focus on the peak scores because we generally work with sequential data. However, I also tested the random numbers, and they turned out to be quite decent. So, you will be able to move larger files, even with random data, pretty quickly.
Conclusion
I believe this flash drive would make anybody happy with its performance, design, and build. However, there are some issues that we discussed earlier, like the warranty, encryption, and software support. If the brand focuses on those aspects, it would lead to this drive being nearly a perfect product.
